SUMMARY:MLK Day of Service
DESCRIPTION:Our chapter will be participating in Decatur’s MLK\, Jr. Service Project this year to pay tribute to Dr. King’s legacy. Join members of NOMAtlanta\, and our student NOMAS chapters from Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State to partner in a day of service.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDecatur’s MLK\, Jr. Service Project is a community-building initiative that unites people from all walks of life in pursuit of the “Beloved Community” ideal. Its mission is to provide free home maintenance and repairs to senior citizen homeowners in Decatur during the MLK\, Jr. holiday weekend. We will be volunteering for the project by doing yard work at one of the homes. Please come dressed for warmth and comfort and be ready to make a positive impact. Shift is scheduled from 9am – 1pm. \n\n\n\nFollow the “Volunteer Registration” Link below to sign-up as part of our group. DESCRIPTION:Are you passionate about making a positive impact in our design community? \n\n\n\nDo you enjoy organizing events and bringing people together for a great cause? \n\n\n\n If so\, we invite you to join the 2024 Project Pipeline Planning Committee! As a member of our committee\, you’ll have the opportunity to help plan and execute camp logistics such as sponsorship\, curriculum development\, marketing\, outreach\, and more. Project Pipeline is a huge national initiative for the NOMA Atlanta Chapter that introduces middle to high school students to a talented group of architecture and design professionals over a 3-day summer camp. Your support is needed! \n\n\n\nThis event is a kick-off meeting for interested volunteers for the 2024 Project Pipeline Planning Committee. Light refreshments will be provided with a short presentation & Q&A session following.  \n\n\n\nThanks to Steelcase Atlanta for hosting our committee in their Worklife Center Showroom. Street Parking is available on W. Peachtree St. NE\, or Parking Garage Entrance located on the same street. From Parking Garage\, exit to West Peachtree Street. Turn Right. Proceed down the sidewalk towards Peachtree Street to stairs on the right up to a patio. The main entrance is the 2nd set of double doors on the left at the top of the stairs. There is an elevator on W. Peachtree past the stairs on the right. Please ring doorbell at delivery entrance for elevator access. \n\n\n\nCan’t make the event but want to still join?
