We are excited to announce two important leadership opportunities that will be available for the upcoming 2025-2027 term. We are seeking dedicated individuals to serve as the Communications, PR, and Marketing Director and the Membership Director for the Atlanta Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects. These roles are essential to the success and growth of our organization, and we encourage all qualified candidates to consider applying. Below, you’ll find the responsibilities and requirements for each position, as well as additional important information.
1. Communications, PR, and Marketing Director
This individual will lead the development and execution of our organization’s communication and marketing strategies, ensuring that we effectively engage both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings, alternating between in-person and virtual formats (no more than 6 in-person meetings per year).
- Prepare monthly reports to the Board with pre- and post-meeting summaries for archive purposes.
- Chair the Marketing Committee.
- Develop and administer marketing strategies and materials, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals.
- Administer and manage the organization’s templates, branding materials, website, and social media platforms.
- Prepare and distribute public relations announcements to mass, electronic, and printed media outlets.
- Knowledge of WordPress a plus+
2. Membership Director
The Membership Director will work closely with the Board to oversee the organization’s membership activities, ensuring continuous engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings, alternating between in-person and virtual formats (no more than 6 in-person meetings per year).
- Prepare monthly reports to the Board with pre- and post-meeting summaries for archive purposes.
- Chair the Membership Committee.
- Oversee the review, approval, and monitoring of new memberships.
- Develop and implement programs aimed at sustaining and increasing the organization’s membership base.
- Promote the value of the organization at the local level, in alignment with national objectives.
- Lead initiatives on long-range planning, screen proposed projects, and recommend priorities that align with organizational goals.
Position Requirements:
- Must be a NOMA member in good standing.
- Both positions are for a two-year term (2025-2027).
