MLK Day of Service
January 15, 2024 @ 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
Our chapter will be participating in Decatur’s MLK, Jr. Service Project this year to pay tribute to Dr. King’s legacy. Join members of NOMAtlanta, and our student NOMAS chapters from Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State to partner in a day of service.
Decatur’s MLK, Jr. Service Project is a community-building initiative that unites people from all walks of life in pursuit of the “Beloved Community” ideal. Its mission is to provide free home maintenance and repairs to senior citizen homeowners in Decatur during the MLK, Jr. holiday weekend. We will be volunteering for the project by doing yard work at one of the homes. Please come dressed for warmth and comfort and be ready to make a positive impact. Shift is scheduled from 9am – 1pm.
